• If you are currently a high school student, we only require your unofficial in-progress high school transcripts at the time of your application. You can usually get these from your high school student account or from your counselor
• If you are a transfer student with fewer than 60 college credits completed after high school, we require your unofficial high school and college transcripts from all colleges attended
• If you are a transfer student with more than 60 college credits, we only require unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended

NOTE: We only require unofficial transcripts at the time of admission. When you choose to enroll at Prescott, we will need official transcripts prior to the start of your first term. Emailed transcripts are not considered official. Official transcripts can be sent through a secure portal like Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse, or can be mailed to:

We only require the contact information – name, email address, phone number – for an academic or professional reference with your application. We do not require full letters of recommendation. 

An appropriate reference can be a teacher, counselor, coach, or employer.

You can add your reference information when you submit the application form, or can do so later through your applicant portal.

°®¶¹ÉçÇø values a nontraditional pedagogy and experiential learning model. Students at Prescott have a variety of ways to demonstrate their learning throughout their courses here, and we value a holistic admissions model that allows students to showcase their knowledge or abilities in a variety of ways when they apply.

We encourage students to share optional materials with their application, including:

• A writing sample, like a short essay or research paper, that you feel particularly proud of
• A project-based portfolio highlighting a science experiment, intensive class assignment, or community service project
• A video introduction sharing more about yourself, your goals, and why you’re interested in °®¶¹ÉçÇø
• A community service log, including a brief summary of your volunteer work and reflections of what you’ve learned from your experiences
• A performance or art portfolio including recorded performances or photos of artwork

For students applying to our on-campus undergraduate program, we encourage you to consider submitting materials that reflect your understanding of and commitment to our mission and values, which allows us to consider you for our Vision Grant, valued at up to $8,000 over four years.

We’re so glad your path has led you back to °®¶¹ÉçÇø! If you are returning to Prescott College to finish your undergraduate degree, your application requires the following items:

• A new application form
• A brief essay (1-2 pages, double-spaced) telling us about your previous enrollment at Prescott, what you have been up to during your time away, and why now is the right time for you to successfully finish your program.
• If applicable, transcripts from any other colleges you have attended while away from °®¶¹ÉçÇø. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application review, but officials will be required prior to the start of your first term.

We welcome students to enroll in individual courses without seeking a full degree. If you wish to enroll in individual courses, you may do the following:

• If you’ve completed fewer than 60 college credits, submit unofficial transcripts from your high school 
• If you’ve completed 60 or more college credits, submit unofficial transcripts from any colleges attended
